Placenta encapsulation.

Why would anyone encapsulate their placenta?

For thousands of years, the placenta has been a part of traditional Chinese medicine. Only in the last century has Western culture opened itself to this ancient source of healing and balance.

There is no substance, natural or manufactured, that can rival the placenta's effectiveness at bringing emotional and physical balance, and helping you recover from birth.

On your journey through pregnancy, the placenta has been maintaining and facilitating hormone production. Once it leaves your body, it can take some time to adjust to the change. Placenta encapsulation has been shown to help the process.

Does the encapsulation process take long?

The service spans two days. On the first visit we begin the preparation and dehydration. Once the process has begun, we have some time to check in with your postpartum questions. We leave and allow the placenta to dehydrate overnight. The next day, after at least 12 hours, we return to finish the encapsulation. Each appointment in your home will last approximately 2 hours.
